OneTelGEM offers network infrastructure and unified communication solutions to help reach unserved and underserved communities. They have decades of experience delivering secure, scalable, customized technology solutions for their customers.
In 2024, OneTelGEM broke out independently from its parent company. They needed to ensure a swift and seamless transition from Salesforce, the system its parent company utilized, to monday.com for its CRM operations.
Migration from Salesforce to monday.com
OneTelGEM worked with CopperHill to assist in this transition, largely due to our expertise across CRM technologies, data management, and workflow automation.
The goal was to maintain functionality while enhancing processes. Key objectives included improving sales, opportunity tracking, reducing manual data entry, and breaking down silos between sales and operations. These key objectives resulted in better transparency and collaboration across teams.
OneTelGem was able to successfully transition to monday following CopperHill’s implementation of monday.com and a complex data migration, which required recreating calculations and implementing automations to mimic Salesforce’s relational database structures inside monday.com. The transition incorporated historical data migration, templates for manual data loading, and data uploads using AIR Connect to populate columns after go-live. This allowed for OneTelGEM to add data to columns that monday.com does not natively populate through traditional data migration methods.
Working in monday.com CRM
The Sales team at OneTelGEM managed activities via Google Sheets and Excel, with limited integrations into Salesforce. Upgrading to monday.com provides the Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams centralized tracking, enhanced automation, and improved data accuracy through quality control measures and audit fields.
Working inside monday.com improved team visibility, automated post-sales processes, and ensured accurate reporting for projects and commissions. This strategic migration optimized operations by connecting boards, enhancing automations, and supporting the Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams effectively.
